Meet Christian Dorn: Session Drummer for Hire

Christian Dorn session drummer for hire playing drums.

Welcome! My name is Christian Dorn and I’m a session drummer, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer based in the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas area. I’m also the owner of Drum Arsenal Productions, a recording studio that focuses on mixing, mastering, and drum recording for clients around the world.

A little bit about Drum Arsenal Productions:
Drum Arsenal Productions is my personal recording studio and where I do most of my work. This space is equipped with state-of-the-art gear and an extensive collection of drums, mics, and outboard, allowing me to capture performances naturally and in high-fidelity. My goal is always to provide clients with high-quality drum tracks that elevate your music. Whether working as a session drummer for hire, or on the mixing and mastering side of things, there are a few elements I try to bring to every session:

1) Pre-Production:
I pride myself on understanding the unique demands of each session. Working as the engineer and drummer allows me the added flexibility of being able to select great gear at every point of the signal path. With every recording session there is some form of a pre-production meeting. This can be done via email, video, or conferencing on Zoom or Google Meet. After this discussion we’ll have a great idea of what drums, microphones, and outboard, will fit the song. On the mixing side of things, this pre-production meeting fills me in on the overall sonic direction and sound you are going after.

2) Communication:
I understand how frustrating the recording process can be. Between trying to schedule musicians, book studio time, get revisions completed, hit deadlines, and a hundred other things, it can be stressful to say the least. This is actually why I opened my own studio and started working as a session drummer for hire. I wanted to solve this problem and give artists, producers, and creatives, the attention, time, and communication they deserve. Your music is not one size fits all and the people working on it with you should be as invested as you are.

3) Comprehensive Services:

With recording, mixing, and mastering all under one roof, I offer a seamless production experience.
The average independent artist spends anywhere from $1000-$5000 to take their song through the songwriting, production, mixing, mastering, distribution, and promotion phases. This means that now more than ever, every dollar needs to be spent wisely and used effectively. With Drum Arsenal Productions you get a customized experience that won’t break your budget.

Let’s Work Together

Whether you’re in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, or around the world, if you need a session drummer, mixing engineer, or mastering engineer, I’m available. I look forward to collaborating with you!
