This Month’s Jams! (June 2022)

The Highwomen - Self-Titled

The Highwomen is a country music group composed of Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires. This debut release came out in 2019 and features the hit, “Redesigning Women”. The group is a creation from Amanda Shires who had the idea to create a female led group to pay homage to the legendary Highwaymen country supergroup (consisting of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson). Full of incredible harmonies, great song-writing, and fantastic production, this record is worth a listen.

Frankie Ballard - Self-Titled

The freshman release from Ballard is only 8 tracks long, but features some fantastic mixing from Nashville main-stay, Billy Decker. These radio polished tunes have the signature Decker sound and hard-hitting drums one would expect from his studio.

Alan Jackson
A Lot bout Livin’

One of the greatest country records ever made…in my opinion, ha! This 1992 release features the smash hit, “Chattahoochee”, and some incredible drumming from Eddie Bayers. This album is a textbook on country drumming and Bayers proves once again why he is the powerhouse when it comes to playing perfectly for the song and driving a band.
